Silay Institute conducted its Annual Christmas Gift-Giving Program on December 16, 2025, fostering the spirit of generosity and community among students, faculty, and staff. The program officially opened with an invocation by Ms. Nikka Lovino, followed by the National Anthem and opening remarks from School Director Dr. Victoria S. Mellnick and Dr. Wilfredo O. Hermosura, Director for Research and Community Extension, together with Ms. Pinky Loplop, Head of Community Extension. The program was hosted by Sir Ginro Palermo, who served as the emcee of the event.
The celebration featured an inspirational message from Executive Vice President Mr. Neri B. Marasigan, community singing by SI faculty and community members, and an intermission performance by Grade I pupils, the Pink Vikings. Fun games were also facilitated by the Silay Institute Supreme Student Government, adding energy and engagement to the event.
A major highlight was the appearance of Jollibee and the Jolli Crew, followed by the distribution of gifts and meals to the beneficiaries. The program concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Wilfredo O. Hermosura. The success of the event was made possible through the collective efforts of the Supreme Student Government and all individuals and groups who contributed their time, support, and dedication, reflecting Silay Institute’s continued commitment to compassion, service, and community outreach.
