On October 15-16, 2024, Silay Institute had the honor of meeting its Vice Chairman, Sir James Donovan, along with Sir Gunnar Donovan, for an enriching two-day visit. The welcoming was led by School President—Ma'am Lilian Reventar, the School Director—Dr. Victoria Mellnick, AVP for Academics—Dr. Mae Ferraro, Sir Mario Salafranca, Sir Neri Marasigan, and other distinguished faculty members.
During the visit, Sir James Donovan and Sir Gunnar Donovan together with some SI's faculty and staff participated in a campus tour and class observations, where they offered insightful recommendations to support the institute’s growth and emphasized the importance of creating meaningful and lasting impacts.
The visit culminated in a Town Hall Meeting, where teachers, faculty, and staff engaged in a lively dialogue on key topics such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), technology integration, outsourcing, and various strategies for advancing Silay Institute's progress.
